Link's Home Repair came to be in the early 1980's as a means of extra income for Naval Aviation electrician turned Quality Assurance Engineer, Link Helmandollar. When business on the side became as profitable as his day job and much more flexible, Link wondered if he should step out on faith and do the business full time. Not long after, the day job offered him an out ... and he took it. He hasn't looked back and it's been nearly 25 years.
Link's work expertise ranges from heating and air conditioning repair and installation to complete remodeling, renovation and additions. He has built homes from the ground up, remodeled kitchens, gutted and rewired every fixture and plug in 100+ year old homes, built extensive three tiered decks on lake homes or sometimes he just hangs a ceiling fan or replaces a hot water heater.
Link learned early in his life how to repair things. His younger brother Roger was terrible about taking apart the few toys the two shared growing up in their native West Virginia mountains. Since he was a bit older than Roger, he fixed the toys sometimes altering them and making them work better.
A true love for problem solving and helping others makes Link's job one of his life's joys. He and his wife Connie have lived in Cumming since the late 1970's, they have one daughter, Therese.
When not working or tinkering in his shop you can find Link playing with his grandchildren Wade, Sylviana & Wyatt.
Occasionally you might see 13 year old Wade tagging along with his "Gramp", he seems to have inherited the "fix it" gene.
